NevoThreads Story
I am Saanvi Yellanki founder of NevoThreads a non profit organization. As a Sophomore at Green Level high school, I started NevoThreads to turn my love for sewing into a way to help the community. Each sensory kit and care kit is made to bring relief and comfort to those in need.
Each person has unique needs. For individuals with sensory sensitivities, custom kits provide the right sensory input to help with regulation.
For cancer warriors, small sewn items like port pillows can ease the discomfort of treatment, while soft pillows offer gentle support and comfort during recovery.
This initiative was inspired by my personal experiences with volunteering at YMCA Kid Zone, Best Buddies, and Miracle League, and by time spent volunteering with kids with cancer—where sharing my sewn creations brought them joy and reminded me how small comforts can make a big difference.
